I am a partner at Wenokur Riordan PLLC and focus my practice on representing debtors in Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases. I advise businesses through each stage of the reorganization process, helping them address immediate liquidity pressures, stabilize operations, evaluate restructuring options, and develop a workable path forward. My M.B.A. in Finance allows me to pair legal strategy with a practical understanding of cash flow, financing, and business operations.
I have served as general counsel to Chapter 11 debtors, developing business and reorganization strategies and coordinating the legal, financial, and operational components of their cases. I also represent debtors in Chapter 7 cases and advise clients on out-of-court restructurings, business workouts, financing strategies, contract disputes, and complex tax matters. My experience negotiating with federal and state agencies includes matters involving the Internal Revenue Service, the California Franchise Tax Board, the California Department of Corporations, and the Securities and Exchange Commission.
My broader insolvency and litigation experience gives me insight into the competing interests that drive a restructuring. I have represented bankruptcy trustees, creditors' committees, secured and unsecured creditors, receivers, and asset purchasers, and have litigated fraudulent transfer and preference actions, lien avoidance proceedings, contested bankruptcy matters, and commercial disputes through trial and appeal. Earlier in my career, I represented institutional lenders, restructured loans through modification and forbearance agreements, documented construction loans and guaranties, and practiced commercial, lender liability, and real estate litigation in New York and California.
Before joining Wenokur Riordan in 2019 and becoming a partner in 2022, I maintained my own insolvency and business litigation practice in California. I am admitted to practice in Washington, California, New York, and New Jersey.
I earned my B.A. from New York University and my J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, where I served as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Corporate & Financial Law. I earned my M.B.A. in Finance from Pepperdine University's Graziadio School of Business. I am fluent in Hebrew and have competed in cycling events, half-Ironman triathlons, and marathons.
I am admitted to practice in Washington, California, New York, and New Jersey. Although I am based in Seattle, Washington, my IWIRC membership is affiliated with the Northern California Network, and I regularly work with clients and professionals across multiple jurisdictions. I welcome referrals involving bankruptcy, restructuring, insolvency litigation, receiverships, creditors' rights, and related commercial disputes.
