On March 14, the Chicago Chapter hoped to get Spring to sprout a little sooner in Chicago with its 5th Annual cooking event at The Chopping Block. After 40 members and member-hopefuls networked over caramelized onion flatbread with sundried tomato pesto and herb cheese and sausage stuffed mushroom caps, along with some bubbly, wine and beer, the guests moved into the kitchen where knives began chopping, spoons began stirring, and rolling pins began rolling. About one hour later, the extraordinary chefs of the Chicago Network (oh, and those of The Chopping Block!) created a delicious dinner of spring pea hummus with garlic pita chips, jumbo lump crab and fresh herb salad wraps, roasted pork tenderloin with parsley-oregano pesto, warm orzo salad with feta and olives, and lemon tart with vanilla whipped cream. The networking did not end, as the guests enjoyed dinner, dessert and drinks while sharing stories of work, family and fun. The Chicago Network invites you to join us at an upcoming event.
