On October 9, 2025 several CT IWIRC members were instrumental in organizing and presenting a very successful 2025 Connecticut Bankruptcy Conference. Joanna Kornafel of Green & Sklarz LLC in New Haven co-chaired the event and Annika Smith of Robinson + Cole in Harford was an instrumental member of the Organizing Committee. The full day conference was held on banks of the Connecticut River in Portland, Connecticut and included bankruptcy judges from Connecticut, Vermont, Massachusetts, and New York. Roberta Napolitno, the sole Chapter 13 standing trustee for the District of Connecticut, participated on a consumer law panel discussing the management of distressed clients and Kristen Mayhew of Pullman & Comley, LLC in Bridgeport spoke on a commercial law panel discussing director and officer liability.
