SUMMARY:IWIRC Asia Regional Conference
DESCRIPTION:Asia’s restructuring and insolvency landscape is entering a new era. Legislative reform accelerating across the region\, with common themes emerging such as cross-border recognition and enforcement\, rescue financing protections\, and pre-packaged schemes\, although the pace and direction of such reform differ markedly between jurisdictions. Judicial institutions are growing in sophistication\, with judges across Asia increasingly being asked to balance commercial rescue objectives\, procedural fairness\, and market confidence in matters that are complex\, time-sensitive\, and consequential. Professionals navigating this environment — lawyers\, bankers\, advisors\, judges and insolvency practitioners — are being asked to do more\, across more jurisdictions\, with less margin for error. \nThe IWIRC Asia Regional Conference returns after 5 years since the previous edition\, and this time\, it will be held in the beautiful city of Kuala Lumpur on 10 to 11 September 2026. Attendees can expect two days of substantive\, practice-focused dialogue on the issues that matter most to the Asian R&I community. Bringing together leading voices from across the region and beyond\, this conference offers a rare forum for candid conversation\, on the evolving landscape\, on the frameworks and tools available\, and on the people shaping these markets. \n  \nClick Here to Register Now!

SUMMARY:IWIRC Virtual Programs Committee: Literary Society
DESCRIPTION:The IWIRC Virtual Programs Committee is hosting the next Literary Society Meeting on September 10\, 2026 at 9 am ET. The theme of this meeting is the role of women and their rights in popular literature. Please select a book from the list below to read ahead of the meeting. During the meeting\, there will be guided discussion about these books and their themes led by Jennifer Lyday\, our Virtual Programs co-chair. \n**BE SURE TO DOWNLOAD YOUR VIRTUAL TICKET TO ACCESS THE MEETING ZOOM LINK** \n1. The Tradwife’s Secret – by Liane Child \nA woman appears to have the ideal life: a devoted husband\, beautiful home\, thriving children\, and a popular online presence built around traditional homemaking values. To her followers\, she embodies the perfect trad-wife lifestyle. But beneath the carefully curated image are secrets that threaten to unravel both her family and her public persona. As tensions rise\, the gap between appearance and reality becomes increasingly dangerous. \nDiscussion themes: social media performance\, marriage\, authenticity\, domestic expectations. \n\n\n\n2. Everyone Is Lying to You – by Jo Piazza \nA journalist becomes fascinated by the disappearance of a former college acquaintance who has reinvented herself as a wildly successful trad-wife influencer. As she investigates\, she discovers that the influencer’s seemingly perfect life may be built on deception. The novel combines mystery\, influencer culture\, and commentary on modern ideas of femininity and family life. \nDiscussion themes: online identity\, ambition\, friendship\, media culture\, truth versus branding. \n\n\n\n3. Yesteryear – by Caro Claire Burke \nA modern trad-wife influencer who celebrates nineteenth-century domestic ideals suddenly finds herself transported back to the mid-1800s. Confronted with the realities of the era she romanticized\, she must navigate a world without modern conveniences\, legal protections\, or social freedoms. The novel explores the difference between nostalgia and historical reality. \nDiscussion themes: historical romanticism\, women’s roles\, privilege\, modernity. \n\n\n\n5. Trad Wife — by Saratoga Schaefer \nCamille Deming has built a successful online persona around the trad-wife lifestyle\, presenting a picture-perfect life of homemaking\, marriage\, and traditional values. Desperate to become a mother and complete the life she has envisioned\, she turns to a mysterious force she discovers on her property. As her wish appears to come true\, her dream life begins to transform into something increasingly unsettling and terrifying. \nDiscussion themes: motherhood\, infertility\, social media\, religious and cultural expectations\, the pursuit of perfection\, identity. \n\n\n\n5. Trad Wife – by Sarah Langan \nA journalist investigates a charismatic trad-wife influencer whose online image has attracted a devoted following. As she digs deeper\, she uncovers troubling questions about power\, influence\, and the movement surrounding traditional gender roles. The novel blends suspense with social commentary. \nDiscussion themes: charisma\, ideology\, media influence\, gender politics. \n\n\n\n6. A Well-Trained Wife – by Tia Levings \nThis memoir recounts the author’s years in an intensely patriarchal religious environment that emphasized female submission and rigid gender roles. She describes how she entered that world\, how it shaped her marriage and family life\, and the difficult process of leaving it behind. \nDiscussion themes: faith\, authority\, marriage\, abuse\, resilience\, religious culture. \n\n\n\n7. Economica – by Victoria Bateman \nAn economic historian examines common assumptions about women’s historical roles in the home and workforce. While not exclusively about trad wives\, the book addresses many of the historical claims often made by advocates of the trad-wife movement\, arguing that the past was more economically complex than modern nostalgia suggests. \nDiscussion themes: economic history\, family life\, labor\, feminism\, historical myths.

SUMMARY:IWIRC Georgia Network - Table for Ten Series - Dinner Two at Ecco Midtown
DESCRIPTION:We are thrilled to announce that the IWIRC Georgia Network’s Table for Ten Dinner Series is back — and this year’s events are ones you truly won’t want to miss. \nWe have the privilege of hosting two sit-down dinners with appetizers and wine\, paired with intimate small-group conversations in a relaxed and collegial setting. What makes this series especially meaningful is that all judges from the Northern District of Georgia have generously agreed to join us for one of the dinners. This is a rare and wonderful opportunity to connect with members of the bench in a warm\, personal environment outside the courtroom. \n \nWe have two dinner events scheduled this fall\, and we’d love to see you at either (or both!): \nDinner One📅 September 10\, 2026 📍 Petite Violette — 2948 Clairmont Rd\, Atlanta\, GA 30329 25 spots available \nDinner Two📅 September 29\, 2026 📍 Ecco Midtown — 40 7th St NE\, Atlanta\, GA 30308 25 spots available \nPlease take a moment to read the details carefully and make sure you’re selecting tickets for the correct date and venue — each dinner is a separate event at a different location\, and spots are limited. \nPricing: \n\nMembers: $60\nNon-Members: $100\nNew Members: Just $30!\n\n  \nIf you’ve recently joined IWIRC for the first time on or after July 1\, 2026 — or if you join now — you qualify for the new member rate of only $30. That’s a fantastic deal for a full dinner with appetizers\, wine\, and the kind of conversation you simply can’t get anywhere else. \n  \nSeating is limited to 25 guests per dinner\, so we encourage you to register soon. The ticket link for Dinner Two at Ecco Midtown is below. \n  \nWe hope to see you at the table! \nWarm regards\, IWIRC Georgia Network
