DESCRIPTION:Please join us for Session 4 of the Great Returners Programme: Career Planning & Strategy \n\n\n\n\nThursday 17 September 2026 at 12:00pm \nJoin us for an interactive and inclusive session where we will discuss career planning and strategy from a returner lens. \nWe will look at: \n\nWhat determines organisational success as a returner\nHow you can leverage existing connections within your organisation effectively\nWhat the role of a sponsor is\, how you can find one and what the potential barriers are to an effective sponsorship relationship as a returner\nAction planning\n\nThis session will be a virtual session taking place via Teams and will be delivered by Fahrah Gulamhusein at The Tall Wall. Fahrah is an experienced executive coach specialising in working with senior leaders and returners who are moving through care and career transitions within high-performance environments. \nIf you have any questions\, please reach out to Becky Terrace (Rebecca.terrace@squirepb.com). \nAbout the Great Returners Programme: For those new to the programme\, it is designed to support individuals returning to work from a long-term period of leave\, whether that be a sabbatical\, parental\, maternity\, sick-leave\, or otherwise. Offered to IWIRC members\, the Programme involves a variety of workshops throughout the year\, with a mix of in-person and remote workshops. The sessions are facilitated by Kate Adey and Fahrah Gulamhusein\, specialist return to work coaches\, who create a safe and inviting space for members to discuss topics affecting returners\, acquire practical skills to manage the change in dynamic\, and foster connections between individuals in a similar stage of life.

Suzanne also applies negotiation strategies to business and politics\, looks at the intersection between leadership\, communication and performing in stressful environments\, and recounts stories from her career\, offering a glimpse into the extraordinary and high-pressured life of a hostage negotiator.\nJudges Panel: An eminent panel of judges\, featuring Lord Justice Zacaroli from the English Court of Appeal and Mrs. Justice Joanna Smith DBE from the English High Court\, alongside distinguished judges from other jurisdictions (to be confirmed).
