For the past 9 years, the IWIRC Hong Kong chapter has consistently held extremely successful and well attended events, offering the women of the restructuring, bankruptcy and insolvency industry the chance to network with fellow practitioners in a relaxed environment. At certain events throughout the year, Friends of IWIRC (being those women who are supportive of IWIRC initiatives but who are not paid-up Members) and the men of the industry are also invited to attend.
We are in the process of planning the rest of this year’s events calendar and are looking to finalise sponsorship arrangements for events to be held throughout 2014, as soon as possible. This is where you come in. Below is a summary of the benefits of sponsoring an IWIRC event as well as a brief description of each planned events, including amount of sponsorship sought and the number of expected attendees, which we hope will encourage you to support IWIRC here in Hong Kong.
The main events for which we are looking for sponsors:
1. Mid Autumn Dim Sum lunch – HK$7,500 per firm (1 firm)
2. Cross Border Seminar – Provision of your conference room with capacity for at least 60 people seated and a sandwich lunch (1 firm)
3. The Great Debtate – HK$20,000 per firm (2 firms)
4. Annual Mixer – HK$20,000 per firm (3 firms)

• Your firm will also receive exposure to members of IWIRC globally via the IWIRC website and Facebook page as we also include a write-up and photos of each event and the logos of our sponsors (on the website only).
Event Information
In order to give you an idea of the nature and scale of these events and so that you can choose to sponsor the event most appropriate for your firm, we have summarized below the key facts, figures and sponsorship requirements of each event.
1. Mid Autumn Dim Sum Lunch – 4 September
The Dim Sum lunch is an opportunity for members and friends of IWIRC to come together in a informal setting to network with other professionals in the industry. In the past, this event has attracted between 40-50 female professionals.
Sponsorship
Sponsorship of the Dim Sum lunch is offered to one firm/organization at HK$7,500.
2. The Great Debate – September – Sponsorship has already been secured from two firms, so this is for information only
The annual Great Debate is one of the biggest events in the IWIRC Hong Kong calendar and is attended by around 100 Members and Friends of IWIRC from the industry. Each year, the panel consists of a mixture of guys and gals representing the banks, the lawyers and the other professionals who are active in the restructuring and insolvency space who debate a relevant and topical issue, normally involving some wit and humor where possible!
Sponsorship
Sponsorship of the Great Debate is offered to two firms/organisations (who may or may not have speakers on the panel), at $20,000 per sponsor.
3. Cross Border Seminar – October – Sponsorship has already been secured, so this is for information only
Professor Charles Booth, a leading expert on comparative and cross-border insolvency and commercial law has offered to contribute to a lunch time seminar for friends and members of IWIRC Hong Kong.
Sponsorship
We are seeking a firm which has the capacity to seat at least 60 attendees at a seminar and who would provide a sandwich lunch. The content of this seminar has not yet been formalised and so there is also an opportunity for the sponsor to provide a host/ facilitator.
4. Annual mixer – November
For the past 5 years, IWIRC has held an extremely successful annual industry mixer in November, offering the who’s who of the restructuring, bankruptcy and insolvency industry the chance to debrief one another on their year and network with fellow practitioners in a relaxed environment before the holiday season. In past years, there have been around 120 attendees at the annual mixer and this year, we hope that this number will increase to around 150.
Sponsorship
Sponsorship of the Annual Mixer is offered to three firms/ organisations, at $22,000 per sponsor.
